Trey + Marcia | Wedding

This past weekend, Trey and Marcia exchanged vows at the lovely General Butler State Park in Carrolton, Ky. After having hair done at a salon here in Louisville, Ky, we made the drive out to Carrolton. The setting for the ceremony was held behind the Butler-Turpin State Historic House. Built in 1859, this venue offered an exquisite vintage feel to the blessed event. 
I can't say enough good about this family. I can't wait to photograph Trey's sister's wedding in September! It was an honor to be invited to share this special day with you all. 

Amanda + Josh | Louisville Wedding at Mellwood Art Center

For all my weddings, I hold a 'final consultation' two weeks prior to the event to go over details and get a timeline prepared. When Amanda and I met a couple weeks ago, I got so excited for all the gorgeous color I knew I would get to photograph! The venues were amazing also. 

The ceremony was held at Caldwell Chapel in a gorgeous area of Louisville, Ky. We were able to use the beautiful courtyard at Garden Court as well. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day as far as weather was concerned. 

The reception was held at Mellwood Art Center. The venue was decorated in awesome bright colors, just what I needed to ring in summertime! Of course the reception was all the more fun with one of my favorite DJ's in town, Jack Gill of Dance Party Unlimited! I've worked several weddings with him, and it's always a pleasure.
