When I met with Ashley to discuss her wedding, she described it as 'Southern Preppy'. She wanted something very charming and beautiful. I think she achieved just that! The color palette was perfect…
Ashley and her bridesmaids got ready for the big day in her father's beautiful historic home in Old Louisville.
Ashley had these adorable cuff links made special for her father.
The hair and makeup team included MAC makeup artist, Michaela Frances Reeves.
Once the Bride was ready, I headed over to the reception venue to meet up with the guys and photograph the reception space. Millennium Events is truly amazing. They had the room set up promptly and beautifully! I LOVED the linens, and the mixture of centerpieces. The Pointe, located in Butchertown area, was a spectacular venue. Personally I think it has great potential to transform easily with whatever type of decor you choose for your event.
As a huge UofL fan, Travis opted to do his groomsmen formals at the Yum! Center in downtown Louisville.
Once the Groomsmen were all finished, I headed over to meet the girls at Belgravia Court, right at the end of St. James Court. I felt this was a great setting to fit in with Ashley's 'southern preppy' theme.
Since Ashley and her bridesmaids all attended Presentation Academy, she wanted to stop for a photo with all the girls together.
The ceremony was held at Saint Boniface Catholic Church. This was my first time photographing this church, and it was incredible. I always loved the architecture of old catholic churches, and this was no exception.
Every wedding I photograph, there is a moment at some point throughout the day where I get all teary eyed. This moment was it for me. Watching Ashley's dad look at her and hand her to her future husband was such so touching.
After the ceremony we headed over to The Pointe for the reception.
As soon as the bridal party was announced in by DJ Cory Leonardo of Party Zone Productions, the newly married couple went into their first dance as husband and wife.
